6 A.M. Factory doors are open, lights are on and the odor of yesterdays freshly laminated boards still lingers about. Welcome to the Zap factory, breeding grounds for the most durable and rippable boards on the planet. Zap, being owned and operated by skimboarders, understands and appreciates every simple detail involved in its daily operations. Everything from laminating, to sanding, buffing, and riding is done with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Daily procedures are mastered and systematic. A joint effort is made every morning to prepare the factory for the day's board run. When completed, individuals disperse to his or her designated area where jobs such as shaping foam, cutting fiberglass fabrics, preparing color coatings, laminating resins, applying art work, sanding, trimming and polishing, are completed. The boards after passing quality controls are than packaged and shipped on a global scale.
