Always in the shaping room tinkering with templates and designs, Boom likes to create new things, and the Voyager is his one of his latest creations. Here is what he has to say about it.
The Bullet has been my go to board in small to medium waves the last few years, so I wanted to build something off that platform but change it up. The Bullet has a wider nose with a straight rail that pulls into a tight squash tail. The Voyager has a little more of a sleek hybrid-style nose, and a little more curve in the outline that flows into a wide moon tail. Its a super stable design that planes and carries for days. The wide tail gives you a real good push off the lip or white water excelling you down the line with more speed than you can generate with a pintail design, making it great in smaller or lined up conditions. The moon shape in the tail helps to give the board some bite when turning or wrapping.
