The 44th year of the Zap Pro/Am World Championships of Skimboarding went down in Dewey Beach Delaware a couple of weeks ago and we are still buzzing over it! With over 200 competitors, a record breaking attendance at a skim contest ever, and over 20 Zap Team Riders, we had a ball! Three full days of action with non-stop pumping waves, the best conditions this contest has seen in a few years, we couldn't get enough!

RECAP | The 2026 Florida Pro/Am Day 2 & Podiums
The 2026 Florida Pro/AM wrapped up on Sunday with fun conditions and the riders put on a show during the Finals. With a slight bump in Swell and favorable offshore winds, there was 1-2’ liners coming through for the riders during the high tide in the morning. Steve from Run Drop Slide made the call to run the Professional division right off the bat to take full advantage of the fun waves. The Quarter Finals kicked off the action and all the heats were super tight leading to the Finals.

The fourth stop of the United Skim Tour, THE VIC, is back for 2026! Hosted by Victoria Skimboards, the event goes down this weekend next to the infamous Balboa Pier on Aliso Beach in Laguna Beach, CA. This two day event is happening this weekend (August 22-23rd) and, if it’s like years past, it’s bound to be epic!

RECAP | 44th Annual Zap Pro/Am World Championships of Skimboarding DAY 2
Day two of the 44th annual Zap Pro/Am World Championships of Skimboarding is officially in the books! After another long day and a ridiculous amount of fun, we have more updates and more exciting team news. Today’s conditions were a bit bigger than Friday’s, but still in the 1-3-foot range with more consistent bigger sets showing up. Another sunny and beautiful day in Dewey with a solid and building southwest wind that switched to northeast at the very end of the day.

Coming at you from Dewey Beach Delaware, August 7th, 2026. The start of the 44th annual Zap Pro/Am World Championships of Skimboarding is here, and we are frothing for it. A sunny day, with not a cloud in the sky, clean and glassy 1–3-foot conditions ALL DAY, and a beautiful southwest wind slowly building as the day went on, it really doesn’t get much better than that. Today and this weekend are showing to be all-time Dewey, and the best conditions we have at this contest in the last five years.
