2024 Spring Fling Skim Jam Schedule & Information

The fourth annual Spring Fling Skim Jam returns to Nokomis Beach, a premier skim break on the Gulf Coast of Florida. This event is designed to bring the skim community together for the weekend and have a fun filled time at the beach. Bring your best tricks and see how you stack up against local talent!

Skim Jam is a three day event consisting of a FREE Skim Clinic, Pro/Am Skim USA sanctioned contest, Pro Signing and awards ceremony. Held at Nokomis Beach, we will have prizes, raffles and a family friendly atmosphere focused on community!

Note about Registration: Competitors must sign up for Skim USA membership to register for the Spring Fling Skim Jam.

There will be NO BEACH ENTRIES allowed.

Registration Deadline: Thursday May 16, 2024 at 11:59 ET. To avoid a late fee of $10, please register by Wednesday May 15, 2024 at 11:59 ET.

Marked in Red is the contest location on the Map. Marked in Blue is parking locations. We will be just a little bit south of the main beach at Nokomis Beach. There is limited parking there but plenty of parking as soon as you pull over the main bridge to Nokomis Beach.

Friday May 17, 2024 - FREE Skim Clinic Hosted by Alley Oop Skim Camps

Location: Nokomis Beach, FL (208 S Casey Key Rd., Nokomis FL 34275)

Registration: 4:30 PM

Clinic Time: 5PM-6PM

Details: Zap Skimboards and Alley Oop Skim camps have partnered up to offer a FREE Skim Clinic to the community. Don’t miss out on the chance to get tips from Zap Professional riders. This clinic is geared towards riders of all skill levels. Never touched a skimboard? No worries! Don’t have a board? We got you covered!

Rider Check-In Hosted by Island Fin Poke

Location: Island Fin Poke (997 N Tamiami Trail, Nokomis, FL 34275)

Time: 7PM-8PM

Details: Come grab a bite to eat and check-in for the competition at Island Fin Poke. We will have goodie bags for all competitors. NOTE: Rider Check-In not required at Island Fin Poke. We will have an opportunity for rider check-in at the beach as well.

Saturday May 18, 2024 - Spring Fling Skim Jam (Day 1)

Location: Nokomis Beach, FL (208 S Casey Key Rd., Nokomis FL 34275)

Rider Check-In/Mandatory Riders Meeting: 8AM

Lunch for competitors provided by Island Fin Poke: 12 PM

Competition Ends: TBD

Skim USA Fundraiser & Pro Signing Hosted by Shuck N’ Ale

Location: Shuck N’ Ale (648 S Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL 34285)

Time: 7PM-9PM

Details: Help send the Skim USA team to Brazil this summer as we raise funds for their exciting trip they have planned. The top Professional riders will be in attendance to sign autographs and we even have a new movie to premiere:) Live Music and great food at Shuck N’ Ale!
