RECAP | Gerardo Valencia Wins the El Rey De Lover's Event in Cabo!!!
It was an action packed and historic weekend down here in Mexico for Team Zap! Checking in from a team favorite location, the legendary Cabo San Lucas in Baja Sur, Mexico! It was a beautiful and sunny weekend with weather in the mid to upper 80’s with a heavy and classic six-foot shore break blessing us at Land’s End, Lover’s Beach. We were here for the first stop for both the men and women on the 2026 United Skim Tour. In attendance this weekend are team riders Gerardo and Yahir Valencia, Leo Freitas, Elian Juarez, Sydney Pizza, and Oliver Brambila. After a lay day on Friday, we got the green light for an epic weekend, so the team geared up and got ready to rip!

EVENT | El Rey De Lovers Is This Weekend!
Quite possibly the most anticipated event of the year is going down in Cabo San Lucas, MX this weekend. That’s right, ladies and gents, the high-intensity “El Rey De Lovers” contest is happening on the beautiful sandy shores of Cabo on 4/17-4/19. Will you be there? TEAM | First Pro Win With Eoin Lally
Eoin Lally is a humble skimmer from Iewes, DE. He may not be the loudest guy in the line up but he lets his skimming do the talking. Full of style and technical ability, Eoin is always fun to watch, whether it be during a free ride session or in a contest. He recently just took his first PRO win so we thought we’d catch up with him to see how it feels and what he has planned for the future.

EVENT | “Skim For CF” Charity Contest For Piper’s Angels This Weekend!
The crew from Piper’s Angels, Foundation for Cystic Fibrosis, just announced the date for the 5th Annual “Skim for CF” event! This is an amazing charity event that benefits Piper’s Angels mission which is to improve the lives of families in the cystic fibrosis community through grassroots advocacy and socially innovative programs, raising awareness through education, offer life-expanding activities, providing urgent financial assistance, and funding critical developments. RECAP | Melaque Skim Contest 2026
The vibes were high and the conditions were epic for the 2026 Melaque Skim Contest. Not to be confused with Melaque Magia, the MSC is a separate event that was supposed to be a part of the United Skim Tour. Unfortunately, due to turmoil in the region, the UST had to drop the event from the standings but that didn't stop MSC from being an awesome experience!

INFO | Thursday Night Sessions @ Nokomis Beach are Back!
Back by popular demand, the Zap Thursday Night Sessions at Nokomis Beach, FL are starting back this week! This Thursday (4/2) and running throughout the summer, the Zap crew will be headed down to Nokomis Beach with boards for riders to demo. Come hang out! We'll be hanging out, coaching, shredding, and having a good time. So if you're around the area, make plans to come shred with us!

RECAP | PCB Skim Jam Day 2 & Podiums
What a weekend! The crew didn’t just have a blast but also went home with some new hardware! A bright and sunny day two was just as beautiful as day one, with a little less of a breeze so the open faces were far and few between, leaving shin-high whitewash speed runs for finals day. While not the best conditions this is when creativity and innovation come into play and Team Zap did not fall short!

The 2026 Melaque Skim Contest took place this last weekend and just like in year’s past, it was a great event filled with tons of talent and good vibes! Originally a part of the United Skim Tour’s event schedule, the UST decided to un-sanction the event due to safety concerns. However, that didn’t put a damper on the event.

EVENT | UST Backs Out Of Melaque Skim Contest This Weekend
This weekend, the Melaque Skim Contest is happening in Melaque, Mexico. Originally planned to be a part of the United Skim Tour, unfortunately the situation in Mexico with the cartels and government has forced the UST to un-sanction the event due to safety concerns. The event is still happening as scheduled, however, results will not be factored into the overall United Skim Tour rankings.
