Dewey Beach, DE – The world’s top skimboarders are set to hit the shores of Dewey Beach, Delaware, for the 43rd Annual Zap World Championships of Skimboarding, taking place August 8–10. As Stop #4 on the United Skim Tour (UST), the sport’s premier global professional circuit, the event promises world-class action, local pride, and a vibrant beachside atmosphere.
This high-energy competition will host elite athletes from around the globe, including Brazil, Mexico, and top coastal U.S. states like California, Florida, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina—and right here in Delaware. With a $10,000 prize purse on the line and the world's best riders competing, the action is expected to be intense and unforgettable.

In addition to pro competition, the event also includes a full Skim USA amateur contest featuring divisions for all ages—from Minis (8 and under) to Legends (50+)—plus a semi-pro division where the best of the amateur field go head-to-head.
