Shaka Gnar 2025 was by far the best year ever. There were generous sponsors and amazing team leaders running six different events throughout the whole day. There was a sandcastle competition, a paddleboard relay race, a beach sprint (called beach flags), a mural competition, a skim board competition, and a best trick skateboard competition on an inflatable mini ramp. There was so much to see and do throughout the whole day, including live music, delicious barbecue, and a silent auction.
Shaka Gnar is a once a year fundraiser for a nonprofit called Caleb would go. Caleb would go was founded to continue the legacy of the radical missionary that was Caleb Bell. The mission of Caleb would go is to raise funds to send more radical missionaries that have a dream or vision to help communities around the world in the name of Jesus‘s love. They consider themselves an incubator or start up for new missional dreams to get off the ground and start making a difference.
If you are interested with partnering with them, they are always looking for more donors to help send more missionaries or maybe you’re one of the ones that feel called to apply for a mission grant through the Caleb would go foundation. You can find out more information at calebwouldgo.com. Follow them on social media (@calebwouldgo) for more updates and get ready for Shaka Gnar 2026 next year.
