What a way to finish the European season!
The ZAP On Tour team travelled to La Tranche-sur-Mer, France, for the third and final stop of the 2026 Euro Skim Tour, and it was a weekend to remember — filled with great waves, incredible performances, and amazing vibes.
Known for its long, right-hand waves, La Tranche-sur-Mer is a dream spot for skimboarding. The waves allow riders to link multiple manoeuvres and enjoy long rides, creating the perfect conditions for an exciting weekend of competition.
Romário Takes the Win — Back-to-Back Victories!
Romário Sousa delivered another outstanding performance, winning the Open final in France and securing two consecutive victories on the Euro Skim Tour. What a way to close out the season!
Yahir Valencia put on another impressive display, finishing in 2nd place in France and securing 1st place in the final Euro Skim Tour Open rankings. A fantastic achievement and a well-deserved reward for his consistency throughout the season. He is the Euro Tour Champion 2 times in a row !
Sonny Boy also had a strong weekend, reaching the quarter-finals in the Open division and continuing to show his skills against some of Europe’s best riders.
Kika Freire on the Podium
In the women’s division, our athlete Kika Freire secured an excellent 3rd place in France, finishing the European season in 3rd place overall in the final rankings.
Another strong performance from Kika, representing ZAP with determination and style!
André Costa Wins the U14 Division
The future of skimboarding is looking bright! André Costa took the victory in the Under-14 division, finishing the season as the European Tour champion in the youngest category.
An incredible result and a great achievement for one of our young talents!
Great Waves, Great People, Great Memories
Beyond the results, this weekend was all about what makes skimboarding special: good waves, positive energy, friendship, and a shared passion for the sport.
A huge congratulations to the organisers for putting together such an excellent event, and a special thank you to the Mauna Kea Skim Association for the warm welcome and hospitality shown to our entire team. We truly appreciate it!
La Tranche-sur-Mer marked the end of our international European tour stops for this season. We are proud of what our athletes have accomplished and grateful to everyone who made this journey possible.
