RECAP | Skim Fiesta 2024
Skim Fiesta 2024 went down at Wipeout Beach in La Jolla CA on 12/14/24. It was a free event that had an awesome turnout with our very own Alex Yokley taking the win for the open women. EVENT | 1st Annual Zap x Philippines Skim Challenge
December 1st, I had the privilege of organizing a skimboard contest in the beautiful shores of Dahican, Philippines, and it was everything I had hoped for and more. The weather was perfect with a sunny sky, and the waves were just the right size for the riders to showcase their skills. Over 20 talented kids, all hungry for the spotlight, came together for an epic day of competition and camaraderie.

EVENT | Maniacos 2024 in Manzanillo, Colima MX
The Maniacos 2024 Skim Contest went down 11/15-11/17 in Manzanillo, Colima MX and you know part of team Zap was there to throw down! Riders like Yahir Valencia, Elian Juarez, Dylan Duncan, Sydney Pizza, Machete, Emilio Lopez, and more were there to hang out, skim, and enjoy the good vibes.

EVENT | Alive Skim Fest 2024 in Busan, South Korea
Alive Skim Fest is a rad event that takes place in Busan, South Korea every year. Busan sits in the southeast corner of South Korea and borders on the Sea of Japan which can produce some solid skim waves! The latest Skim Fest just went down at the end of October to an awesome turnout of South Korean riders! VIDEO | Couch Catch Up with Gnarly Chip: Episode 4 - Emma Okoniewski
Back again with another episode of “Couch Catch Up”, this time Gnarly Chip sits down with Dewey shredder Emma Okoniewski. Emma, originally from Wilmington DE, grew up shredding the Dewey Beach breaks so you know she can handle her own on a board. Riding with other Zap shredders like the McCoy brothers, Jason Wilson, Sydney Pizza, and more in Dewey honed her skills and developed her style to be clean, smooth, and fun.

ICYMI | '24 TAC Skimblast Recap
The ‘2024 TAC Skimblast, stop #2 of the UST, took place in Santa Cruz, CA back on July 20th. This was the 10th year for the contest and it just keeps getting better and better. It’s known as the largest skim contest in northern California and attracts pros and amateur riders alike from all over the world. If you missed the recap from the contest, check it out above now!

RECAP | 2024 Oktoberfest in Newport Beach, CA
The 19th Annual Oktoberfest presented by Exile Skimboards, at Balboa’s Pier in Newport Beach, California went down this past weekend, and was not something you wanted to miss. The Zap team geared up and got to work as this was the last stop on the United Skim Tour for the 2024 season, being the sixth stop for the men and the fourth stop for the women. One of the closest and most exciting title races that the sport has seen in quite some time all boiled down to this weekend, for both the men and the women.

RECAP | 20th Annual Skimbash Podiums
This past weekend on September 7th & 8th the Sea Bright Skim Bash celebrated 20 years of skimboarding competition in Sea Bright, NJ with 119 participants. The event was organized by the Jersey Shore Skim Camp and also the final stop on the 2024 Skim USA Tour.
Vibes were high all weekend with many long time New Jersey skimmers in attendance to celebrate the 20th anniversary. Despite difficult conditions and stormy weather to start competition on Saturday, riders and the Skim USA crew pushed through to put on a great show. The mayor even showed up to welcome riders and acknowledge how important the skim community is to Sea Bright!
