RECAP | Jackalope Fest Day 2
Jackalope 2026 was nothing short of epic and non-stop action! Walking onto the beach for finals day, we were met with a doubled swell from Saturday of 2’-4’, barreling whilst still a little too high tide (but would not be an issue) and some light Northwest winds of four to five miles per hour! It was a dreamy day with weather in the low 70’s and the best conditions that we have seen at Virginia Beach since Jackalope came to town!

Jackalope Fest 2026 is here! Finally, one of the most anticipated skim events of the year, and a true team favorite skim contest has arrived. Jackalope Festival, put on by Tribu, is a crossover festival where almost every extreme sport from Moto Cross to skimboarding to vert skating meets in Virginia Beach, Virginia for a 3-day festival of greatness and non-stop action.

This weekend, the team will descend upon Virginia Beach, VA in search of good waves and good times for another year of the Jackalope Fest! This amazing event brings together some of the best action sports athletes from skateboarding, bmx, blading, skydiving, moto x, skimboarding, jet skiing, adaptive skateboarding, and more!

ZAP AWARDS | International Rider of the Year - Yahir Valencia
Arguably the most entertaining skimboarder these days, Yahir Valencia is an absolute beast on the water. Hence why his new pro model was dubbed the BEAST! With some of the longest slideouts to waves ever witnessed and power and style to make everything look sick, Yahir is always turning heads when he’s on the water. His 2025 season was filled with awesome trips and top podium finishes.

EVENT | Shaka Gnar 2026 on May 30th in Nokomis, FL

VIDEO | ZAP x CABO 2026 - Insane Free Riding & Recap of El Rey De Lovers
Another year of El Rey De Lovers is in the books and what an event it was. Team Zap descended upon Cabo San Lucas on their annual quest for epic waves and even more epic times. This year in Cabo certainly did not disappoint. With unreal conditions for the entire trip, the team got in pletny of free-riding before the contest and were primed and ready once the event began.

TEAM | Kate Warrington’s Pro Debut at Spring Fling
The 6th Annual Spring Fling took place a little over a week ago and we’re still coming down from all the good times we had! One of the big standout moments from the weekend was our very own Kate Warrington taking the step from the amateur ranks to the pro division! After a successful 2025 season, she felt like it was the time to make the move. This proved to be a solid decision as she handled her first pro heat on the first day of the Spring Fling with no issues and got herself into the semis for the next day. She ended up with a respectable 4th place finish at the end of the event so we sat down with her to see how she felt about it and what her plans are moving forward. Check it out now!

The 2026 Spring Fling Skim Jam was one for the history books! After a long weekend we are beat but cannot be happier with everything that went down! From all the sponsors and volunteers to all of our team riders that helped out, we are so grateful to every single person! With over 100 competitors and 30 team riders in attendance it was a full and action packed weekend!

RECAP | Spring Fling Day 2 Photos & Podiums!
What a weekend! The 6th annual Spring Fling Skim Jam presented by Zap Skimboards and Skim USA in Nokomis, Florida has come to a close! With a full day of action and an amazing team behind the whole weekend the entire Zap crew could not be happier! It was another beautiful day on the Gulf Coast with temperatures in the mid-80s and a slight breeze that help steady around 10 mph out of the south again it was picturesque, and a perfect way to close out the weekend.
