A local Venice FL shredder, it was only a matter of time until Nick Forfar caught our eye. He has been on the grind for a while and we are hyped to bring him onto the team! With his effortless style and good attitude, he fits right in with the crew. We caught up with him to see how he feels about it and what he has planned for 2026. Check it out now.
ZAP: Yo Nick, congrats on officially joining the team. How does it feel?
Nick: Thank you! It honestly feels great Zap has treated me like family for about 8 years now ever since my early days when I was an employee! Now that it’s official and I can ride for the best and have the best team by my side it’s special!
ZAP: Where did you grow up and how did you get into skimming?
Nick: Venice, Florida! Home of Zap! Always being by the beach it’s bound you try skim boarding at least once. I was always into sports on wheels but ever since my first time hopping on a skimboard when I was about 12-13, it just stuck like glue!
ZAP: What else are you into?
Nick: Aside from skim boarding, I’m huge into the car scene. My business revolves around it and the passion has been there since a kid growing up with my dad, friends and family having cool cars!
ZAP: Where’s your favorite skim spot and why?
Nick: That’s tough! North Jetty on a dreamy south swell will always have the top place in my heart! But there’s also no better feeling than chasing after those 10th St siders out west!
ZAP: What are your plans for 2026?
Nick: I’m going to keep pushing my business as much as possible and try to maintain competitive skim boarding! I will be making it to The Vic in August and the rest of the Skim USA tour!
ZAP: Any shout outs or thank you’s you want to throw out?
Nick: Absolutely! I want to give a huge shoutout to my mom Ashley for constantly being my biggest supporter with everything I do! As well as shouting out the man himself ET for being a great team mate and also constantly we push each other every single day with everything we do in life! And, of course, Zap!
