Team rider ET Beaugrand oozes style on and off the water. Just check out some photos or clips of him to see for yourself. Recently, ET has been doing less skimming and more living and we’re here for it! We caught up with him to see what’s been going on lately. Check it out below!
ZAP: ET, what’s up?! What have you been up to this season?
ET: Hey! I’ve actually been in Minnesota all summer working as a traveling surgical technologist. It’s been cool getting to spend time with my sister, niece, and nephew who live up here now. When I’m not at work, I’ve been busy on the water and working on a bunch of projects.
ZAP: What’s the coolest thing you’ve done so far this year?
ET: Buying not one, but two boats this year was pretty rad. One is getting a full renovation and engine swap, and the other I’ve been riding behind as much as possible on the skimboard. Summer lake days up north are something to write home about.
ZAP: Besides skimming, what else have you been doing?
ET: I’ve been diving into some big projects. I started building out a camper van that I plan to use for a bunch of trips, including skimming and surfing all five Great Lakes. I also recently launched a new business that I’m hoping to officially roll out in January, so stay tuned for more on that!
ZAP: Do you have any cool trips coming up or anything like that?
ET: Once the van build is done, I’ve got plans to hit the road for some big skim and surf trips, including chasing waves on all five Great Lakes and then down the east coast all the way back to Florida. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, so I’m stoked to finally make it happen.
ZAP: Will you be joining us at the Zap World Championships in Dewey Beach this year?
ET: Absolutely, I wouldn’t miss it! Dewey is always such a good time, and I’m stoked to compete and hang with everyone there.
ZAP: Have you been working on anything specifically with your skimming?
ET: I’ve been focusing on riding behind the boat as much as possible and getting my training in like that. It’s been fun to mix up the routine and just find new ways to push my riding.
ZAP: Thanks for checking in with us, ET! Is there anything else you’d like to tell us before we wrap this up?
ET: Just that I’m pumped for what’s ahead! Between the van build, my business launch, and all the travel I have planned, it’s going to be a big year. Thanks to Zap for always backing me, and I’ll see everyone in Dewey!
