Now we’re really back! Kicking things into high gear, we are down in Sebastian Florida for the 2026 ShoreLB Throwdown with a solid crew, including hometown heroes, new additions and foreign favorites! On a brisk Saturday morning at Sebastian’s Inlet, we got a bright an early start to the weekend, at 8am in about 55-degree weather with hopefully promising and exciting conditions.
Starting off the day, to get the best conditions of the weekend with about an eight mile per hour offshore northwest wind, the pros got us going! Our squad for the weekend included Gerardo Valencia, Mason Broussard, Elian Juarez, Zeke Williams, ET Beaugrand, Zach Rubin (in his pro debut on American soil), Graham Shelton (in his pro debut), Sydney Pizza and Nicole Phillips. Making it through the opening round, with style, control, and steeze in growingly challenging conditions, Elian, ET, Gerardo, and Mason were all ready for their head-to-head action, following a solid warm up heat from our powerhouse women. Nicole and Syd had a nice warm up getting ready for their final tomorrow exchanging 3-shuvs, slashes, bashes and airs, the ladies have set a high bar for tomorrow’s final!
Back to the pro men, ET vs Elian to kick round two off, a solid heat with great exchanges as conditions started to fall out and the wind kicked up. ET pulled out the win, and advanced to the semi-finals for what could be his best professional result of his career thus far! Next up was Mason, who had a field day in his heat, throwing huge airs, late big spins, and chunky wraps all around, he made it look easy, and also moved onto to the semi-finals, which we will see first thing tomorrow! Great job team!
Immediately following came the Masters division where some of our newest team riders got to show what they are made of! Anthony McFall, Nick Forfar and Evan Rubin all did great today with combos, long liners and style for days moving on to the semi-finals and taking top honors in their heats, Ant and Evan killed it! Next, were the Semi-Pros where Trent Moranda, Evan Rubin, and new Zap blood Dylan Dubrow, all had great showings throwing back 180s up the beach, 3-shuvs down the line, and spinning to win have made it through the first round of Semi-Pro and we can’t wait to watch them rip tomorrow!
For the rest of the day, not missing any of the action the Men, Jr. Men, and newly upgraded Boys, formerly referred to as out Menehune Monsters, are back tot heir regularly scheduled programming, upping the ante with more style, and flow than ever, with a couple more inches too! In the Jr. Mens division, a very special shoutout to Yuan Bonhayag for ripping his heat with finesse, power, and lightwork combos to win his heat! Brody Chandler-Thompson and Gio Tomasi, absolutely dominated in their breakout heat as members of the Boys division, we can’t wait to see them in the final tomorrow!
