Seven days. Endless sessions. Incredible waves. Two UST Champions. One unforgettable adventure.
Join the Zap Team on an epic journey through Portugal, packed with skimboarding, competition, demos, good times and plenty of stoke.
From the very first Skim Demo at Praia das Bicas, where kids and adults joined us for a progression session, the tour was all about sharing the love for skimboarding and connecting with the local community.
We then headed to Santa Cruz, where the team prepared for the Ocean Spirit – UST International Skimboard event with multiple sessions in classic waves, a visit to the 58 Shop, and a special visit to Voyage, combining surf and skim with the crew.
The competition weekend brought challenging conditions, intense heats and some incredible performances. The Zap Team stayed united throughout the event, with four Pro riders making it through to Round 3.
We also hosted the Zap Mini Legends U11, giving the next generation of riders a chance to compete, learn and have fun with the Zap Team.
And then came the big moment…
Yahir Valencia took the UST Open Men’s title with an outstanding performance, while Alex Yokley claimed the Open Women’s title. A huge achievement for the whole Zap family!
After the competition, the team headed to Costa da Caparica for one final skim session and a progressive Skim Game, before making our way to Sesimbra for a final Zap Skim Demo at Japona Culture Shop.
We were welcomed with drinks and food for riders and participants before hitting the beach, where the Zap riders shared the session, demonstrated their skills and helped local beginners with tips and advice.
To finish the tour in true Zap style, we headed to Contraste Bar for dinner — a place that has become a classic stop for the Zap Team whenever we’re in Portugal.
Seven days. Countless waves. New friends. Epic sessions. Two champions. And memories that will stay with us for a long time.
This was Zap On Tour Portugal 2026.
