EVENT | OBX Skim Jam this Weekend!
The next stop of the Skim USA tour, the OBX Skim Jam, is going down at Jennette’s Pier in the Outer Banks, NC this weekend! A 3 day contest, Friday to Sunday, it will be an action packed weekend with good waves and good vibes. PHOTOS | Skim Clinic & Demo with Surf Shack South, presented by Alley Oop
On Friday, July 11th, the Alley Oop and Zap Skimboards team from Delaware hit the shores of Long Beach Island for a free skim clinic and demo with Surf Shack South in Beach Haven, NJ. Team riders Sydney Pizza, Elian Juarez, Eoin Lally, Brody Chandler-Thompson, Jason Wilson, and his sons Lincoln and Ashton showcased their skills to a crowd of local and visiting skimboarders. They provided hands-on instruction and demoed our full line of skimboards for approximately 30 attendees. Participants scored free merch and swag before everyone headed over to Surf Shack for pizza and more good times.

PHOTOS | 2025 Flagler Beach Bash Pro/Am
The 2025 Flagler Beach Bash Pro/Am went down this past weekend as a part of the Premier Skim tour, with support from the North FL Skim Club. It was a solid day of competition with Zap team pro rider Dylan Duncan taking the win for the pros! Also shoutout to team riders Zach Rubin and Will Grady for taking 1st and 3rd in 18+, respectively, as well as Giorgio Tomasi, aka SkimGio, for taking 3rd in 13 & under.

EVENT | Lavallette, NJ Skim Comp on July 19th!
The Lavallette, NJ Skim Comp is more than just a competition for John Fata, it’s part of something bigger. A culmination of days spent at the beach and passion poured into the sport of skimboarding. On July 19th, it all goes down on Brown Ave in Lavellette, NJ. There will be divisions for everyone and all are welcome to compete. Not only that but all donations will go to Waves of Impact, a non-profit that "provides access to the healing and therapeutic power of the ocean to individuals with exceptional challenges.” Make sure to contact (973) 935-4856 or @lavellette_skim_competition to register and we’ll see you there!

EVENT | Flagler Beach Bash Pro/Am, Hosted by Premier Skim & North FL Skim Club
This weekend, join us in Flagler Beach, FL for the Flagler Beach Bash Pro/Am, presented by Premier Skim and the North FL Skim Club. Nestled on the northeast coast of Florida, Flagler Beach is a solid spot that is capable of producing some good skim conditions, given the right weather. Let’s hope for some waves! But either way, we’ll be there to enjoy the event and have a good time!

TEAM | Alex Yokley in Brazil
The Sununga Skim Pro in Sununga Brazil is one of the wildest events of the year. The wave at Sununga is unlike anything most skimmers ever get to experience so for Alex Yokley, it was definitely a learning experience. She made the trip with plenty of time ahead of the contest to get familiar with the area and the wave but in true Sununga style, it threw her some curve balls. Some days it was flat, some days it was too big, and the other days were all over the place! We chatted with her to see how she felt about her first Sununga trip and how it all went down.

PHOTOS | 2025 Shaka Gnar “Best Day Ever” Recap
Shaka Gnar 2025 was by far the best year ever. There were generous sponsors and amazing team leaders running six different events throughout the whole day. There was a sandcastle competition, a paddleboard relay race, a beach sprint (called beach flags), a mural competition, a skim board competition, and a best trick skateboard competition on an inflatable mini ramp. There was so much to see and do throughout the whole day, including live music, delicious barbecue, and a silent auction.
