TEAM | Welcome Brady Crall To Team Zap

Brady Crall is another local Florida boy who has proven himself time and time again in local events, across social media, and in person! We are hyped to formally bring him on to the Zap team and are stoked to see what the rest of the year brings for him. We caught up with him to see how he was feeling about it and what his plans for the future are. Check it out below!

ZAP: Yo Brady, congrats on joining the team. We know it’s been a long time coming. How does it feel?
Brady: It feels awesome! I’m super grateful for the opportunity to be on a team with such rippers! As a kid from Florida, I have been looking forward to joining the Zap team ever since I stepped foot on a skimboard.

ZAP: Tell us about yourself. Where are you from and how did you get into skimming?
Brady: I’m originally from Tampa but I moved to Stuart, Florida ten years ago and really got into skimboarding and surfing, with the bigger waves on the east coast. I attended a skim camp in Indian Rocks Beach with my dad and that’s what really got me into the sport, and wanting to take it seriously.

ZAP: What board are you riding for this season and why?
Brady: I’m on a 52” Fuse-X, 52” Cazador, and 52” Prowler V2. My favourite right now is the Cazador. It has the most aggressive feel out of any board I’ve ridden. When I’m trying to set my rail on a bigger wave, I really feel that stability on this board. I love that I can still throw tech really well on a board that is more made for wave riding.

ZAP: What are your plans for 2026?
Brady: I really want to win the SkimUSA tour in semi pro and my age division. I’ve really been putting a lot of work into figuring out how to ride in competitions, due to my lack of competitive experience in skimboarding. I’ve been really happy with how I’ve been competing and would love to take it home! I also plan on taking a trip to California and making a skim film with the Stewskim crew.

ZAP: Other than skimming, what else are you into?
Brady: I played high school basketball, and I put a lot of effort into it before really focusing on skimming. I love golf, music and video editing. My love for music, and editing has been a real motivator for putting out more skim films!

ZAP: Where is your favorite skim spot and why?
Brady: Sebastian Inlet when it’s a sider. About a year ago, Sebastian didn’t have as much sand and the wave would create a sider. Me and my buddies would drive down every weekend we thought the sider would break.

ZAP: What gets you stoked to skim?
Brady: Any skim film with some good music! Seeing other people shred to some sick music just makes me want to get out there and progress!

ZAP: Is there anyone else you’d like to thank or anything else you’d like to say?
Brady: I would like to thank all of my friends who push me to get better everyday. My buddies in Stewskim have been the most solid dudes. Making videos and skimming with them has made me continue wanting to pursue skimboarding.
