RECAP | Melaque Magia 2025
…And we’re off, the 2025 skim season has officially started! The team traveled down to the infamous break of Melaque, Mexico with SkimUSA to link up with our Mexican crew for some good waves, tacos and an even better time for the 3rd annual Melaque Magia Skim Contest hosted by our very own Gerardo Valencia! Conditions were not Melaque’s best, but were fun and entertaining the whole weekend, especially with some of the sport’s best charging all day!

Shore Lb. contests are always a good time and the Throwdown at Sebastian Inlet, FL is one of our favorite contests of the year! The fifth annual Spring Fling Skim Jam returns to Nokomis Beach, a premier skim break on the Gulf Coast of Florida. EVENT | Maniacos Skim Contest 2024 in Melaque, MX
While Dylan Duncan was in Melaque, MX, the infamous Maniacos Skim Contest was also going down! So after some big wave hunting, Dylan locked in for a solid contest weekend. With plenty of riders from the Zap team in attendance (Yahir Valencia, Elian Juarez, Dylan, and Gerardo Valencia to name a few…), the scene was set for an awesome contest shoot-out between the homies.

Surf Expo, just like every year, has been a whirlwind of a good time! We got to see plenty of familiar faces, as well as some new ones. Being able to get together with like-minded people and talk shop is always a good time but the real fun is unveiling all of the new goods that we have in store for the year.

Recently, Dylan Duncan packed his bags and sent it down south to Melaque, Mexico for a couple weeks to get some solid skimming in. He caught up with Yahir Valencia to show him around and then headed down to Manzanillo to compete at the 2024 Maniaco’s Skim Contest.
