EVENT | 1st Annual Zap x Philippines Skim Challenge
December 1st, I had the privilege of organizing a skimboard contest in the beautiful shores of Dahican, Philippines, and it was everything I had hoped for and more. The weather was perfect with a sunny sky, and the waves were just the right size for the riders to showcase their skills. Over 20 talented kids, all hungry for the spotlight, came together for an epic day of competition and camaraderie.

EVENT | Maniacos 2024 in Manzanillo, Colima MX
The Maniacos 2024 Skim Contest went down 11/15-11/17 in Manzanillo, Colima MX and you know part of team Zap was there to throw down! Riders like Yahir Valencia, Elian Juarez, Dylan Duncan, Sydney Pizza, Machete, Emilio Lopez, and more were there to hang out, skim, and enjoy the good vibes.

SESSION | Team Zap @ Nokomis Beach in Black & White
Hurricane Rafael took a swipe at Florida a couple weeks ago and luckily, we stayed out of its path but it did give us some waves to work with! Part of the team met up one afternoon to get in some turns while the swell was still coming in. The light didn’t want to cooperate but that’s ok because skimboarding looks sick in black and white! John Akerman even managed to get a little foil in on the waves!

EVENT | Alive Skim Fest 2024 in Busan, South Korea
Alive Skim Fest is a rad event that takes place in Busan, South Korea every year. Busan sits in the southeast corner of South Korea and borders on the Sea of Japan which can produce some solid skim waves! The latest Skim Fest just went down at the end of October to an awesome turnout of South Korean riders! “Siders at Solmar” - The Zap Team Takes on CABO!
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico is a very special place for skimboarders. With some of the biggest and best waves any rider could ask for, it has been known as a “proving grounds” for up-and-comers to seasoned pros for years. Team Zap made the journey down south to participate in the El Rey De Lover’s contest but you know we had to get some free-riding in as well!
