RECAP | 44th Annual Zap Pro/Am World Championships of Skimboarding DAY 2
Day two of the 44th annual Zap Pro/Am World Championships of Skimboarding is officially in the books! After another long day and a ridiculous amount of fun, we have more updates and more exciting team news. Today’s conditions were a bit bigger than Friday’s, but still in the 1-3-foot range with more consistent bigger sets showing up. Another sunny and beautiful day in Dewey with a solid and building southwest wind that switched to northeast at the very end of the day.

RECAP | 44th Annual Zap Pro/Am World Championships of Skimboarding DAY 1
Coming at you from Dewey Beach Delaware, August 7th, 2026. The start of the 44th annual Zap Pro/Am World Championships of Skimboarding is here, and we are frothing for it. A sunny day, with not a cloud in the sky, clean and glassy 1–3-foot conditions ALL DAY, and a beautiful southwest wind slowly building as the day went on, it really doesn’t get much better than that. Today and this weekend are showing to be all-time Dewey, and the best conditions we have at this contest in the last five years.

RECAP | OBX Skim Jam Day 2
Day two here in Nags Head, has wrapped up and we are gassed! After a full day in the sun, with non-stop action and some major upsets, we have a lot to catch up on! It was a sunny day in the low 90’s with a heat index of 110 degrees Fahrenheit, with not a cloud in the sky, swell coming out of the southeast at about one to two feet, and of course non-stop action!

RECAP | OBX Skim Jam Day 1
The Outer Banks, legendary, fun, and a contest that is on everyone’s bucket list. That’s right, Team Zap is back in action after about a month and a half off, we are here down in Nags Head, North Carolina for the OBX Skim Jam 2026 edition. There is no better way to start off a skim contest weekend than with a beautiful day one and some fun waves, and that is exactly what we got! It was in the upper 80’s all day with a fun wave, peaking around two feet for the bigger sets and around a foot for the rest. In attendance this weekend we have a stacked line-up including a new face that we are super stoked to welcome to the Zap Family, Brady Crall, we are super amped for all that is to come for him!
